RICEE is uniquely positioned to offer high-quality apprenticeships for Rhode Island Lead Paint Inspector licensing. With two RIDOH-approved training supervisors on staff, apprentices receive direct mentorship from certified professionals who bring real-world expertise to every inspection. Our ongoing partnerships with multiple housing agencies ensure a steady flow of inspection and clearance requests, providing apprentices with consistent, hands-on experience across a variety of property types. This combination of expert supervision and practical field exposure makes RICEE one of the most reliable and respected pathways for individuals seeking to earn their Lead Paint Inspector license in Rhode Island.
Hands-On Learning with Real Responsibility – You won’t just watch from the sidelines. As an apprentice, you’ll work under supervision of a certified Lead Inspector, gaining field experience inspecting homes, identifying hazards, collecting dust samples, and helping ensure safe remediation.
Follow a Recognized Pathway to License – In Rhode Island, aspiring Lead Inspectors must complete a 40-hour initial training course and pass written and practicum exams. Then you’ll need supervised inspections in real dwellings, meeting the RIDOH criteria. This means participating in a total of 25 inspections that include comprehensive inspections, visual inspections and clearance inspections.
Be Part of Safeguarding Communities – This is more than a job. You’ll play a vital role in protecting children and families from lead exposure, supporting healthier homes and stronger neighborhoods.
Growth Potential & Job Stability – With increasing public awareness, regulatory enforcement, and renovations in older housing stock, trained lead professionals are in demand. Your apprenticeship gives you a foundation to build a lasting career.
Local Focus, Trusted Credentials – Because Rhode Island administers its own lead licensing program and training approvals, our program is tailored specifically to state-standards and regulations. You’ll learn from some of the best trainers in Rhode Island.
